getbocsitdar Codetch is a free and open source application for editing source files. The name "Codetch" implies "Code Writing", as it is really just a combination of "code" and "etch". It was written mainly using XUL and JavaScript and is currently an extension for Firefox (or other Mozilla based applications). A great benefit of using XUL is that it is cross-platform.

The initial developer of Codetch is Zachary Carter.
